blog responses week 2

Liz’s response week 2

Hi Liz! It’s inspiring how you balance multiple jobs while pursuing your degree, I also work a couple times a week to support myself and I agree, having an asynchronous class like this one helps so much. I also hadn’t heard much about Distributed Education before this course, but I love how it opens up learning to people with different schedules and responsibilities.

Dana’s response week 2

Hey Dana, I really enjoyed reading about your experience with digital literacy. It’s amazing how you’ve built those skills through coding and simulation software! I agree that digital literacy is so important, especially as more courses shift online.

I resonate with your preference for blended learning. Like you, I enjoy the in-person aspect of building connections and discussing ideas, but the convenience of submitting assignments or taking exams from home is such a bonus. It gives the best of both worlds!

Larissa’s response week 2

I really enjoyed reading about your insights on hybrid learning. I agree that it gives students flexibility and will accommodate different learning styles. I have found that hybrid learning is also beneficial in terms of time management, especially when you have to do labs and lecture classes. It allows me to review material at my own pace. Like you, I also prefer the structure and engagement of in-person sessions.

I appreciate your thoughts on open and distributed learning. It’s fascinating how these methods make education more accessible, especially for students with busy schedules or those living far from campus. However, like you, I also prefer in-person learning since it keeps me more focused.
